November 15 – Black Easter Bunny and Monita win separate divisions of the California Championship, both against star-studded fields going 440 yards at Los Alamitos. November 22 & 29 – In the final stakes win in his career, Go Man Go beats Double Bid in his third consecutive Clabbertown G ’Cap. The 5-year-old son of Top Deck (TB) then finishes third behind Clabber’s Win and Vandy’s Flash in the Hard Twist Stakes. Finishing fifth in both races is Mr Bar None, who this season will break Go Man Go’s three-year reign as world champion.

November 17 & 30 – In what is shaping up to be a classic rivalry, Tonto Bars Hank defeats Rebel Cause in the Bardella Handicap, and then Rebel Cause defeats Tonto
Bars Hank in the Los Ninos ’Cap. Tonto Bars Hank is a freshman colt by Tonto Bars Gill, while Rebel Cause is a colt by Top Deck (TB). Tonto Bars Hank is bred by Wayne Rossen of Merino, Colorado, and Rebel Cause is bred by Chet and Dale Robertsons’ Haymaker Farms at Yukon, Oklahoma.
November 19 & 26 – Vandy’s Flash wins the Clabbertown G Handicap, defeating First Call, Table Tennis, Miss Louton, Breeze Bar and Pap, but then is beaten by Triple Lady, No Butt, Pap, Breeze Bar, Miss Louton and First Call in the Hard Twist Stakes.
November 23 – Scoring her second career stakes victory, Galobar wins the Fullerton Stakes at Los Alamitos, her fourth and final win from what will be her 13 lifetime races. Bred and owned by Hugh Huntley, Galobar is a Three Bars (TB) filly trained by Newt Keck. Her first stakes win came last year in the inaugural running of the All American Futurity at Ruidoso Downs in New Mexico.

November 23 – Tiny Watch wins the Clabbertown G Handicap by a nose over Joe Sherry, with Goetta finishing seventh. A homebred racing for Frank Vessels’ Western Stables, the sophomore colt by Anchor Watch (TB) is trained by Earl Holmes and ridden by Charley Smith.

November 19 & 28 – All American Futurity winner Savannah Jr runs fourth to Kid Meyers in their trial, but comes back to score by half of a length over Goer in the Sunland Park Fall Futurity. Kid Meyers finishes ninth in the final, while the stakes-winning Suki Tadre is fourth. A son of Three Bars (TB), Kid Meyers later earns an AQHA Supreme Championship, while the Royal Bar filly Suki Tadre goes on to become a foundation broodmare for Pat and Muriel Hyland’s Hyland Ranch, where future AQHA President Ginger Hyland is working with her parents’ American Quarter Horses.
November 22 – Joe Sherry defeats Go Josie Go by a neck in the Clabbertown G ’Cap. Bred by C.Y. Jones of Hollywood, California, the 4-year-old gelding by Joe Queen races for Mary Mask and Mary La Rue of Los Alamitos, and is trained by Mask’s husband, Bill.

November 18 & 27 – Rainbow Futurity winner Top Ladybug wins her trial, but finishes second by half of a length to Jet Too in the Sunland Park Fall Futurity. Top Ladybug’s trial race was her first start since finishing third behind Go Dick Go and Chickamona in the All American Futurity on Labor Day. Bred by Marvin and Lela Barnes of Ada, Oklahoma, the filly by Top Deck (TB) out of the blue-hen Sergeant mare FL Lady Bug is trained by M.L. Barnes and ridden by Boyd Morris.

November 11 & 21 – Doll Bid defeats Duplicate Copy by a neck in a Los Alamitos allowance, but the 5-year-old Duplicate Copy – whose name derives from his near-perfect resemblance to his sire, Go Man Go – returns to score in the Clabbertown G Handicap. A homebred racing for Vessels Stallion Farm, Duplicate Copy is trained by Jerry Fisher and ridden by John Kanis.

November 9 – Kaweah Bar defeats Witch Chic by a neck in the Juvenile Invitational Handicap. November 1, 21 & 30 – Easy Jet wins the All American Congress Futurity at Beulah Park in Columbus, Ohio. The colt by Jet Deck then returns to the West, to win his trial and the final of the Sunland Park Fall Futurity. A son of Jet Deck, Easy Jet is bred, owned and trained by Walter Merrick of Sayre, Oklahoma, and ridden by Willie Lovell.

November 6 & 15 – Easy Jet finishes second to Go Together in their trial to the Sunland Park Fall Derby, and then second to Go Moon in the final, with Go Together third. November 20 – Kaweah Bar defeats Big Profit by half of a length in an allowance race at Sunland Park.
November 21 & 28 – Mr Jet Moore wins his trial and the final of the Laredo Casa Blanca Futurity at L.I.F.E. Downs in Laredo, Texas. A homebred Jet Deck colt racing for Bob Moore of Norman, Oklahoma, Mr Jet Moore is trained by Newt Keck and ridden by Keith Asmussen.

November 10 & 17 – Gallant Jet wins his trial but finishes 10th and last to Miss Ooo Wee in the Kentucky Futurity at Latonia Racecourse in Florence, Kentucky. Miss Ooo Wee came into the trials off a second to Possumjet in the September 4 All American Futurity. Racing for Clyde Bailey of Oxford, Florida, the Wee Folk (TB) filly is trained by Conny Rountree and ridden by Larry Orona.
November 19 – Defeating Mr Kid Charge by a nose in the Sunland Park Fall Derby, Some Kinda Man sets a :21.46 world record over the quarter mile. A Go Man Go colt bred by the King Ranch of Texas, Some Kinda Man races for B.F. Phillips Jr. of Texas. Some Kinda Man is trained by C.W. “Bubba” Cascio and is ridden by Jerry Nicodemus.

November 4 – Charger Bar defeats Le Cinder by half of a length in the Autumn Championship at Centennial racetrack near Denver. Bred and trained by Wayne Charlton, Charger Bar is a 5-year-old mare by Tiny Charger who races for Drs. Kenneth Wright and Ed Allred.
November 17 & 25 – Truckle Feature defeats Elan Again by 1 1/2 lengths in a Sunland Park allowance, and then returns to defeat her again by a nose in the Sunland Park Fall Derby. November 10 & 21 – Dashingly defeats Kellys Coffer by a neck in their trial for the Budweiser Derby (G1) at Turf Paradise. However, the sophomore filly by Dash For Cash fails to qualify for the November 21 final, which is won by the Rocket Wrangler gelding War Star Wrangler. Trained by Bob Baffert and ridden by Kenny Hart, War Star Wrangler is owned by Larry Hughes, who ranches near Salida, Colorado.
November 27 – Sgt Pepper Feature defeats Shawnee Hoo by half of a length in a Los Alamitos allowance. Trained by Mike Robbins, the 4-year-old Truckle Feature gelding races for his breeder, Tom Neff of Andrews, Texas.

November 9 & 20 – Windy Dash wins her trial for the Budweiser Derby (G1) by half of a length over Painted Bug, and then returns in the final to defeat Painted Bug by a nose. By Dash For Cash out of the winning Go Man Go mare Windi, Windy Dash is owned by her breeder, B.F. Phillips Jr., and is trained by Blane Schvaneveldt and ridden by John Creager. November 17 – Los Alamitos records its first $2-million handle, with $2,113,523 wagered on the Quarter Horse Breeders Classics Championships. The evening’s biggest race, the QHBC Championship Classic (G1), is won by Claude and Bessie Lea Jeane’s Heisajoy, a 5-year-old Gusty Hempen gelding trained by H.L. Hooper and ridden by James Lackey.

November 1 – Los Alamitos handles $2,379,112 on the MBNA America Challenge Championships, the highest ever recorded on a single card of American Quarter Horse racing. A total of $645,527 was pushed through the windows at the track in Orange County, California, while off-track and out-of-state sites handled $761,578.

November 4 – Blues Girl Too finishes second by a neck to Double Bar S Ranch’s homebred Jess You And I in the Golden State Million Futurity (G1) at Los Alamitos. November 11 – This Snow Is Cold wins the MBNA America Challenge Championship (G1) by a nose over WRS Special Shoe. LDS Dash For Dylan is third, with world champion DM Shicago fourth. November 24 – All American Futurity (G1) winner No Secrets Here takes a 3 1/4-length score in his trial to the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity (G1), while Blues Girl Too wins her trial by 1 3/4 lengths. Both qualify to the December 8 final.
2007
November 10 – Vessels Stallion Farm’s homebred Little Bit Of Baja scores a 33-1 upset over Blues Girl Too in the Los Alamitos Super Derby (G1). With Ramon Sanchez in the irons for Adan Farias, the First Down Dash gelding charged up late to win by a nose over No Secrets Here and 36-1 shot Ten Oclock Scholar, while Blues Girl Too finishes a neck off the pace in fourth.
2008
November 1 – Blane Schvaneveldt sends out Eddie Garcia on Tres Passes to win the $1,314,670 Golden State Million Futurity (G1). Janet McKinnerney’s homebred colt by champion Tres Seis gives the 74-year-old all-time everything trainer his first score in a seven-figure race.
November 15 – Stolis Winner wins his trial to the Texas Classic Futurity (G1) by 1 1/2 lengths, but is scratched from the final after pulling up with a minor ankle injury.
November 29 – Robert Touchet sends out Rodrigo Vallejo on Mr Queens Mystery to win the $1,154,802 Texas Classic Futurity (G1) at Lone Star Park, the richest final of the stakes’ 16 runnings. Bred by Leslie Micah and the Newcomb Cattle Co. of Oklahoma, the Shazoom colt out of the track-record-setting First Place Dash mare First Place Queen races for Azoom LP of Veracruz, Mexico.
